I Thought you would all enjoy taking a peek inside of our Redlands, California Shop Suey Boutique.
One of the most common questions that we get here in the store is, are you a chain or a franchise? Since we are featured in so many magazines everyone is always shocked to learn that we aren’t and that we are infact a pretty small company! I bet you didn’t know that we ran the Shop Suey website out of the garage for almost 9 years!! Just last October(2007) we moved out, into a light industrial spot with enough room to also open a small retail store here in Redlands, CA. Thankfully, the retail store has been welcomed with open arms. It’s such a joy to meet customers “in real life” and not just in cyberspace. Naturally, after seeing the success of the store we have the bug to expand and we’re looking into how to bring Shop Suey to a city near you in the future!

I’m bursting with excitement about this email that I just got from the editor of O, the Oprah Magazine! One of the sample handbags that we sent in to the fashion department caught Gayle King’s eye during the run throughs and she asked if she could get one from us! Here is the email:
